The CPCS scheme was launched in 2003 and is the industries largest scheme for plant operators with over 200,000 cards issued. It is now the card most construction sites ask for and has mutual recognition in the Republic of Ireland.
The card scheme is designed to be simple, a Red card (Trained Operator) and a Blue card (Competent Operator).

ITSSAR
ITSSAR is approved and listed as an accrediting organisation by the Health & Safety Commission (HSC) in the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) for Lift Truck Operator Training. It has recently gained reconition for forklift training in the Republic of Ireland. http://www/hsa/ie/eng/FAQs/Forklift
